Engaging Community Health Workers to Support Home-based Care for People with COVID-19 in Low-Resource Non-U.S. Settings

Community health workers (CHWs) are valuable assets to public health in low resource settings. Broadly, CHWs work as community advocates, conduct outreach and community engagement for public health programs, and provide health education and services. Home-based care supported by CHWs can help relieve the substantial burden the COVID-19 pandemic has placed on healthcare systems worldwide.
